21st Century Cures Act News
Recently Congress mandated that under the 21st Century Cures Act CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) is required to adjust and reprocess many claims that were previously paid between July 1, 2016 and December 31, 2016. Medicare beneficiaries may receive an updated EOB (Explanation of Benefits) for service rendered or equipment rented or purchased during this period. The EOB will show an additional amount paid to the provider. There is no action needed on your part. Miller’s will automatically process these adjustments accordingly.
If you have any questions, please call 1-800-MEDICARE or read more about it here https://www.cms.gov/center/provider-type/durable-m...
Terrific Compliment for Canton Service Technician Joe Furry!
“I want to let everybody at Millers know about the outstanding service and level of care that I have received from Joe. I don't have the words to express how impressed I am with this young man. He is by far, of all the people I rely on, to be able to cope with this new life I have to live, the very best care giver I have. Joe gets it... He knows he is not just a fantastic knowledgeable technician but he is firs t a care giver. I wish all of my care givers had Joes attitude and compassion. “
Kent State’s University Museum Exhibit (Dis)Abled Beauty features a Power Wheelchair donated by Miller’s
Check out this Tiger Power Wheelchair all dressed up like How To Train Your Dragon’s character Toothless. It is now on display at the Kent State Museum through March 12, 2017. ‘This exhibition featuring more than forty items including prostheses, hearing devices, and mobility devices aims to change the negative stigma associated with disability. The items featured in this exhibition are not for concealing, but rather, they were designed to be seen and shown off. These devices make their wearer fashionable, able and to some degree... superhuman. After experiencing (dis)ABLED BEAUTY, maybe we will all believe that "disability is not a brave struggle or 'courage in the face of adversity.' Disability is an art. It's an ingenious way to live." - Neil Marcus

A new organization right here in Northeast Ohio is making history. Here it is in co-founder Jane Hash's own words:
"There is a fresh nonprofit on the scene and they are paving the road to a place that has never been made accessible to their clientele ever in history! Classy Little Fashions Foundation provides tailor-made clothing for adults with non-standard body-types due to physical disability, finally making the world of fashion more diverse and accessible. Imagine the excitement you would feel after finally getting the degree needed to land that dream job, which would lead to a financially prosperous career. Then coming to the realization that you are not going to get that job because you have nothing to wear to the job interview. Professional clothing that fits your unique body does not exist. Stories like this is what inspired the formation of Classy Little Fashions Foundation. Solving accessibility problems and supporting the independence of people with disabilities is an enormous, multifaceted task. Nobody can solve all of these issues single-handedly. However, everyone receiving this in their email plays a vital role in improving the quality of life for people with disabilities. Thank you for inviting Classy Little Fashions Foundation into your network.
We have a lot of exciting things to announce very soon so please visit our website and follow us on social media for updates!" - Jane Hash
Congratulations and best of luck with your new venture!
Congratulations to Michelle Workman for her outstanding performance at the TAASC Winter Sports Challenge!

"Dear Chuck and Millers Staff,
A long overdue thank you for all that you do for individuals with medical equipment needs. Most especially my students on my caseload! You guys always go the extra mile and get things done the correct way. The entire process of ordering a custom wheelchair can be quite overwhelming but made much easier by your staff. Setting up a quote day and actually discussing product choices to tracking the paperwork once submitted is made much easier with all of you. Fabrication day with the truck and techs coming to our school is a smooth process. There seems to always be something that comes up on fabrication day that is out of the ordinary but your staff is flexible and able to figure things out instead of coming to a halt!
I really thank everyone that was involved recently with xxxxxx and figuring out his electronics and getting his wheelchair to work again. I am excited to work with him again and help him regain his independence of driving. When you see a client take off in their power chair and drive off on their own, you realize how worth it, it all is!
I thank you for your dependable and knowledgeable staff in all areas. Thank you to the service department as well for coming out quickly and getting things repaired when needed.
Have a nice day and Happy Valentine’s Day!!"

"I just wanted to express my respect and thanks to the Miller’s Service Dept. for their recent work in support of Kathy. It was a situation where her power w/c needed a motor replaced and the family was very frustrated. There were multiple issues faced by the family at this time and dealing with her needs for repairs was very frustrating to them.
Roberta and the Miller’s staff were consistent and clear in their communication and worked hard to complete the repairs for her in a very timely manner. I know the business of providing repairs is challenging for many reasons, and families and therapists may have unrealistic demands. However, I know that Miller’s works to accommodate families as much as possible and I appreciate your efforts. A special thanks to Roberta for her patience on the phone. Thank you."

"This is just a little note to say thank you for the wonderful service you provide for our patients. We never have a doubt that when we send someone to you they will be taken care of and given excellent service. Thank you for all you do!"

"It has been my pleasure working with you—Miller’s is so easy to deal with and our patients have been pleased as well. How can I assist you to increase cross-referrals?"
