21st Century Cures Act News
Recently Congress mandated that under the 21st Century Cures Act CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) is required to adjust and reprocess many claims that were previously paid between July 1, 2016 and December 31, 2016. Medicare beneficiaries may receive an updated EOB (Explanation of Benefits) for service rendered or equipment rented or purchased during this period. The EOB will show an additional amount paid to the provider. There is no action needed on your part. Miller’s will automatically process these adjustments accordingly.

Kent State’s University Museum Exhibit (Dis)Abled Beauty features a Power Wheelchair donated by Miller’s
Check out this Tiger Power Wheelchair all dressed up like How To Train Your Dragon’s character Toothless. It is now on display at the Kent State Museum through March 12, 2017. ‘This exhibition featuring more than forty items including prostheses, hearing devices, and mobility devices aims to change the negative stigma associated with disability. The items featured in this exhibition are not for concealing, but rather, they were designed to be seen and shown off. These devices make their wearer fashionable, able and to some degree... superhuman. After experiencing (dis)ABLED BEAUTY, maybe we will all believe that "disability is not a brave struggle or 'courage in the face of adversity.' Disability is an art. Then coming to the realization that you are not going to get that job because you have nothing to wear to the job interview. Professional clothing that fits your unique body does not exist.
