MED CRC: The MED Group operates the MED Certified Repair Center Training which is the most comprehensive technician training program in the industry. Through a series of graduated levels of training and education, technicians are instructed, tested, and certified to competently assess and repair durable medical equipment. The program focuses on providing prompt and reliable service to customers. MED Certified Repair Centers set unprecedented standards in the medical equipment industry for professionalism, technical competence, and customer service. Levels of Certification: Bronze: Technicians are certified to perform manual wheelchair repairs and to provide accurate estimates on repair costs. Training includes: Customer Service I, Driver Technician Training, Introduction to Medical Industry, Manual Wheelchair Repairs, Wheelchair Batteries, Soldering, and Using Multimeters. Silver: Technicians are certified to perform power wheelchair repairs. They are knowledgeable of applicable electronics theories and capable of troubleshooting major manufacturers' products. Training includes: Customer Service II, Electronics Review, Batteries, Power Wheelchair Basics, Power Wheelchair Troubleshooting, Power Wheelchair Repair, Technical Training Seminar, and additional manufacturers' seminars covering Seating & Positioning, Custom Chair Modification, Specialty Controls, and Environmental Control Units. Gold: Technicians have a good understanding of the different troubleshooting techniques needed for both manual and power wheelchairs. This highest level of certification including training on: Career Development Program or Assistive Technology Training Program. |
